Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Sky Livestream (“Skyâ€, “weâ€, “usâ€, or “ourâ€)
collects, uses, and protects information when you use our websites, admin panel, SkyLive viewer,
and the Sky Livestream Android app (package name sky.livestream).
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to:
- Administrators who manage clients and live streams
- Clients who log in to SkyLive to watch streams
- Users of the Sky Livestream Android application
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Sky, we may collect:
- Account information — name, username, and password created by an administrator for client access
- Admin credentials — administrator username and password used to manage the platform
- Session data — authentication tokens stored on your device/browser while you remain signed in
- Stream configuration — stream titles, descriptions, cover images, HLS playback URLs, and/or Zoom meeting ID and password entered by administrators
- Usage data — basic technical logs such as login activity, stream access requests, device type, IP address, and app version needed to operate and secure the service
- Device permissions (Android) — camera, microphone, and network access only when required for features such as joining a Zoom-based live stream inside the app
We do not intentionally collect payment card details or precise location data through the Sky apps.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Authenticate administrators and clients
- Provide access to live streams (HLS and/or Zoom Meeting SDK)
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Sky platform
- Protect against unauthorized access, abuse, and technical issues
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Zoom and third-party services
If an administrator configures a Zoom stream, Sky may use the Zoom Meeting SDK to join a meeting using the meeting ID and password provided by the administrator. In that case, Zoom may process audio/video and related meeting data under Zoom’s own policies. Please review Zoom’s privacy documentation for details.
Stream media may also be delivered through third-party streaming or CDN providers when an HLS URL is used. Those providers process playback traffic as needed to deliver the stream.
5. How information is stored
- Account and stream data are stored on our Sky server / database operated for this service
- Login tokens may be stored locally in the browser or app session storage while you are signed in
- Uploaded cover images may be stored on our server under the uploads directory
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only:
- With service providers needed to run streaming, hosting, or infrastructure
- With Zoom or other stream providers when a stream is configured to use them
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform
7. Data retention
We retain account, stream, and related records for as long as needed to provide the service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or by the organization operating the Sky deployment. Administrators may deactivate or delete client accounts and streams from the admin panel.
8. Your choices
- You may log out at any time to clear your local session token
- You may ask your administrator to update or remove your client account
- You may uninstall the Android app to stop local app use
- You may revoke Android permissions in system settings
9. Children’s privacy
Sky is intended for authorized organizational / adult use. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International users
If you access Sky from outside the country where the server is hosted, your information may be processed in the country where the Sky deployment is operated.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated†date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Sky after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
